- Yes, Blibbers... this is the street. Furthermore, it looks familiar, as though I´d already been here -         
- Fine, because it would be ra...Did I tell you what happened to Katty and I the other day? Well, night, some days ago… –
- Oh, yeah! You told me on the phone. You know, you get that because of those looks of yours, HA!  – Ara hissed, strongly walking with her best friendo near a square.  
- I think I´d have an ice-cream right now –
- Aren´t you cold? -  
- Of course, but ice-cream is ice-cream, you know. What if we get there and nothing happens? You know, like, she went to see him because he called and they decided to spend an evening together? After all, she said herself she likes the guy, didn´t she? -  
- Yes, Blibs... Please, it was your idea to come out tonight, I just had a hunch, but you called, remember? Oh, let´s go home, you are right. We´ll just call Hila and end of it – the almond-eyed girl resolved, deeply concerned because they were way too far from the place they were supposed to be at, freezing and without any reason to.  
- Oh, please! I called you just to ask you how you were doing and stuff. You were the one who was concerned about Hila. As for me, you know how I am, I never know about what happens, but...Why do you change your mind now? - Blibbers demanded, tugging at her best friend´s clothes.
- It´s just that you were right, let's go, this is ridiculous. We can´t just come and get into their lives just like that... Hila can be with that guy, Sergei what with it? She said he's nice, interesting, there is no reason to suspect -
- Yes, but taking up your arguments, tell me where does Likeia fit into all this? -

- No, Blibs, that is nonsense. If there are problems at her home...I understand it -
- What? And she´s going to leave her "bad feeling" forgotten just like that? When it´s about Hila? - Blibs asked frowning at her companion.

The honey-color-eyed girl knew full well when Ara  was lying, but she would ask only once...
- Come on, Ara. Spit it out -
- Wha..? I´m serious, it´s stupid -
The girl wearing glasses had to settle for that response, but she suggested:
- Then we´ll just go by. You said we were close. If we don´t see anything suspicious, we go home and end of the thing, k? -
- Okay, come on. We needto cross the square... if you dare - and both walked diagonally through the trees  amidst the most quiet and dark night.

Hila awoke in a too brightly lit room, even for her taste.
She saw the roof, with its normal monotony and quickly tried to get up, thinking at first that it had all been a vivid nightmare.
But it was not, and she was still weak, as if she could not have control on her muscles and found it too hard to regain coordination. Stubbornly, the lady stood up and surveyed the place to find out what it was all about.
- Hi there, Hila... You finally woke up again... I hope you´re feeling good, I did not want to wake you up while I was working - Darla said, appearing before her with a kind gesture.
- W-working? - said the frightened girl.
- Do you know what a study of chemical composition is? -
- What??? -
- Not important, just sit and rest. I mean no harm, I just wanna talk - the doctor promised, looking at the emerald-eyed girl, whose eyes were gray by the horrible events she was going thru.
- I´m not afraid of you, Darla. Don´t get me wrong, but I'm actually on my way out. I hope you have not much to do in this matter -
- Matter? -
- All this, when I find out what this is all about, I hope you're not involved. You see, I don´t know you, and you could be a good person... Don´t be fooled too - she said.
- My interests in "this matter" as you call it, are purely professional, young lady. I am dedicated to what is of my concern - she said dryly.
Hila looked at her as if looking for something beyond, an indication, some clue...
Then she remembered why the doctor seemed so curiously familiar and it all made sense.
The woman was Cirö´s girlfriend, they had been sweethearts long ago and she had heard of it from Ciryan himself.
To her mind, Darla was a very sweet person and always modest. Also extremely jealous... hopefully she would not recognize her, you never know how a person can react after so long, specially speaking of Darla.
- So... I guess I have nothing to do here, then if you´ll excuse me...- Hil apologized, but the other made the mistake of grabbing her arm to stop her.
The normal sweetness and patience of the younger disappeared without half a second chance.
- Let go before I... -
- Darla, don´t make her upset, please - said Sergei entering. He approached and seized his "guest" by the back of her head pushing his face close to hers, who had the strength to keep him away.
Then he went on:
- Do you prefer your tortured nature rather than my gifts, Hila? -
Anon, the boy tried to kiss her, but she bestowed him a good knee that left no doubt what was her opinion about him and his so called gifts.
- I prefer that you leave me alone -
- Darla, show her where her room is, so I can solve some things that I have to be done with. Walk around the house if you want to, Hila, I don´t care. You´d better get used to the place. Enjoy it while you can...- Sergei articulated, barely standing on his feet.
There was a murmur coming, and two girls and a corpulent boy passed by, carrying someone else.
Whoever it was, he was moaning and trying to escape, but she couldn´t spot him before they were gone down the corridor.
Afterwards, Darla took Hila to richly furnished room, with a great bed with canopy..
There was her light jacket, inside which she remembered having stored the pendant.
Not long after, she was left there alone and heard Darla´s laughter, followed by the voice of her host. With curiosity, she approached the site from which the sound came and saw them kissing.
Hil was sure he had seen her,  but she left, completely blinded by her rage.
